How this worksNaming the right trustee
In Chapter 13, one standing trustee administers every case in a district (or division), so we can usually name the exact person assigned to you. In Chapter 7, the US Trustee appoints a panel trustee case-by-case at your §341 meeting of creditors — your trustee is one of the panel members listed, and the specific assignment appears on your case docket and your §341 meeting notice. Subchapter V and Chapter 12 trustees are drawn from the district panels shown here.
Names and roles come from the U.S. Trustee Program’s authoritative rosters (28 U.S.C. §§ 586, 581). The controlling appointment for your specific case is always the one on your docket and §341 notice.
