What We Offer

Free, open-source bankruptcy screening tools that legal aid organizations can use or embed. No fees, no contracts, no data collection from your clients.

Everything we build is designed to reduce the burden on legal aid attorneys and improve outcomes for the people they serve. Our tools handle the data-intensive screening work so your team can focus on client representation.

The 1328(f) Discharge Bar Screener

Our flagship tool at 1328f.com screens the FJC's database of 4.9 million federal bankruptcy cases for Section 1328(f) discharge bar violations. It is the only free tool of its kind. Legal aid attorneys can use it to:

The screener runs entirely in the browser using a local copy of the FJC database. No queries are sent to any server. Your clients' information never leaves their device.

The Bankruptcy Transparency Network

75+ free educational domains covering every major bankruptcy topic. Your clients can access plain-language guides on the automatic stay, means test, Chapter 7 vs. 13 comparison, exemptions by state, and more. All ad-free, all free.

These resources are designed to supplement -- not replace -- legal advice. They help clients arrive at intake appointments better informed and better prepared to work with their attorney.

Embed Our Tools

The screener and educational pages are static HTML hosted on GitHub Pages. They can be linked from your website, shared with clients, or embedded in intake workflows. No API keys, no accounts, no setup required.

If you want to integrate our tools into your organization's workflow, we are happy to help. We can provide custom landing pages, co-branded resources, or direct data feeds -- all at no cost.

Data for Advocacy

We publish district-level analytics on dismissal rates, attorney performance patterns, and fee structures. Legal aid organizations can use this data in:

Our data has already informed a formal suggestion to the Advisory Committee on Bankruptcy Rules (Suggestion 26-BK-3, accepted March 2026). We welcome legal aid organizations that want to use our findings to advocate for systemic reform.
